What is the national minimum wage?

The current rates for national minimum wage are:

- 23 and over £9.50;

- 21 to 22 £9.18;

- 18 to 20 £6.83;

- under 18 £4.81;

- Apprentice £4.81  (Apprentices are entitled to the apprentice rate if they are aged under 19, or 19 and in their first year of their apprenticeship).
